The things in my head stare at me expectantly until I agree to pick up the pen and draw them. Sometimes they come back for seconds. And there are a lot of things in my head staring at me at any given point in time. The hand must draw.

Some HTTYD realism portraits. I am miffed after a certain trailer came out and Toothless's model is just the 3rd movie model with HD textures. Scale layout on my Toothless was inspired by mangrove vipers. Also gave him some of that pretty blue sheen the vipers have.

Whelp, its done. I've gone and deleted everything form the other place and deactivated the account. This is the new home now. 😀

Heron-ish raptor painting, loosely based around Buitreraptor. Caped and tri-color herons along with reddish egrets were the main inspirations.

Ruby cave dragon painting I made for fun. Took a little under 4 hours total.

One layer and one brush painting for a morning doodle. 2 hours and 32 minutes total in Krita. I'm actually stupidly happy with how this turned out. Now if only dinosaurs would be more cooperative when I paint them.

Deinonychus crossing a stream via fallen log. Raptors standing or running on logs is an aesthetic I really love for whatever reason.

Full fantasy rex commission for a friend. Inspired by JP's rex, and Prehistoric planet's rex, but using the skull of Tuft's love for the head. I'm super happy with how the keratin turned out on this piece.

Commission for a friend, a carch attacking a spino, inspired by jaguar predation on caimans. I am really happy with how the scale detail turned out. Also plants are evil, especially mangrove ferns.

Dueling Dilos commission, serpentine necks + feathers + perspective were not my friends on this one. Regardless I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Druddigon as a fanged wyvern + armor and hammer, for an old Pokemonster Hunter art challenge. It was insanely fun to figure out how to work those shapes!
