The reason I like Dall-E best of the AI engines is that it gets things "wrong." GPT4-o is very accurate, but consistent, predictable and without surprises. There's little point running it more than a few times. With Dall-E, its weird variations can be more interesting than your original idea.

Which do you prefer - the detail and matte accuracy of GPT4o (left) or the dreamy weird glossiness of Dall-e?

GPT4-o vs. Dall-e: GPT is way more accurate, but refuses to do some things Dall-e will let through. Like this. Also, once GPT does something, subsequent requests will get you 95% the same thing. The thing is, among Dall-e's weird misinterpretations there will be some gems. Like this.

I've been into this image because I can vividly imagine a situation for it. The Las Vegas stage hypnotist picks wealthy subjects and gives them a post-hypnotic suggestion to walk to an alley behind the nightclub. They do it in a dreamlike hallucination only to find him there with a "slot machine."

A twisted but persistent fantasy of mine: the hypnotherapist who does the opposite of what the client came for, but also convinces them that their therapy is making incredible progress. Look at how much self-confidence this patient is gaining!

An evil hypno-movie script idea - a spy agency creates the perfect espionage agent under the cover of making a new spy film. Except the audition is actually a suggestibility test, and all the days that the actor thinks he is filming, he is actually on real espionage missions.

In the past few days I've had an uptick in followers, many of whom don't seem to know what I post. I do gay AI generations dealing with three fetishes: hypnosis, men in suits and financial domination. If any of these things bother you, I respect that, but I'm uninterested in your opinions of it.

I've done so many generations zeroing in on linking hypnosis and findom that I thought I really needed to do something else. So here's a hypnotist whose motives are not financial, and only wants his patient to relax and feel amazing.

Another situation I could not get to work with the Dall-E engine - someone looking at a transformed reflection. Prompt follows:

I get and respect that people have strong opinions about AI generation, especially when it impacts their livelihoods. But if you're going to drive by and leave two or three words about AI Bad - save both of us the time and just block this account. Because that's what I'm going to do in response.

The usual situation, the hypnotist in a different outfit. See, an unsuited hypnotist! I'm really liking Bing's other AI engine (GPT-4o). Even if it takes longer per image, the success rate is so much higher for complicated ideas when you'd just like to get it right.

A prompt that @engleather.bsky.social came up with a while back that I could not get to work with the Dall-E engine. No problem with GPT-4o (Prompt in next post).

This is about as niche a fantasy as there is, but damn it gets me off. A suited hypnotist who spends the entire day brainwashing his volunteer in trance, but changing into appropriate gorgeous outfits for each time of the day, from morning coat to evening wear. (Evening wear in the next post!)

I always enjoy it when Bing coughs up something surreal, but I truly love his volunteer's expression.

Trust your hypnotherapist. Also - the first image is Grok, the second is Bing. Grok reminds me a lot of ideogram (do they use the same engine?) Grok gives you more of what you ask for, but I think I prefer the more glossy quality of Bing to the more matte image quality of Grok. What about you?

CW: Implied (fictional) self-harm. Bing likely has a ton of text filters to keep people from doing things that would open it up to liability. The sentence in the picture was almost impossible. Bing kept omitting "myself" or subbing another word, until I intentionally misspelled "destory". Go figure.

If kinksters can have dungeons, can I have the hypnofetishist's equivalent? A spare room converted into a "treatment room," with all the sound, light and video controls, screens and the treatment chair, and all the wardrobe - satin tuxedos for the therapists and silk robes for the patients . . .
