I would love to use the clear variant of liquid glass for the floating control layer in my Gradiance app update, unfortunately it doesn't adapt to darker colors (or lighter colors if in Dark Mode) and so I guess I'm going to have to go with the regular (frosted) variant of liquid glass instead.

And previews are now restored in my iKeeper project and seem to be working fine. 😮‍💨

Now that I think I have Finance previews sorted out (finally - I think)… the good news is that I never messed up the data in iKeeper locally - so never messed up iCloud. So as long as I fix iKeeper like I did Finance the previews should work without all the confusion. 🙂🤞

Wait a moment. 😮‍💨 My #SwiftUI friends… So if I preview in canvas or preview in app and have definitely turned off cloudKit container options AND ensure my mock data is inMemory that should be fine. If I run the project (from Xcode) it should sync to development side of iCloud from the local data…

I think I managed to finish up an update to my iKeeper app to support the changes in iOS / iPadOS / macOS 26. It required upping the minimum requirements to fix a problem. Still making blind adjustments in #SwiftUI code and having to build / run because I had to disable previews (for macOS).

Sometimes AI can be really funny. I had a problem in my #SwiftUI code so I asked #Xcode to help me out. It noticed that I had 1 instance of calling on something with the wrong type. Good. Its solution was that I should change the other 20 - 30 instances to match rather than fix the obvious one. 🤔⁉️

Nothing quite like the joy of editing a UI for macOS without being able to see it in a preview in Xcode 26 and having to stop and keep running to check to see how it will look for every little adjustment. 😩

Looks like the minimum requirements for my Finance and iKeeper apps will be moving up to macOS 14+ and iOS / iPadOS 17+. There are some things I was doing prior to that which completely break when updating my SwiftUI code to support macOS / iOS / iPadOS 26 and I'm tired of fighting "no error" bugs.

I am so annoyed with #Apple right now. #Xcode 26 has decided to sync my preview core data in my #SwiftUI project (from the preview canvas) with iCloud. I use my apps. I now have a bunch of fake preview data mixed in with my actual data in my app and have to manually go through and delete it. 😡

It's been a very productive day updating my #SwiftUI test project for macOS, iOS, and iPadOS 26. I now have a pretty good idea of what I have to do for my other apps. 🙂

Have any #macOS 26 users found a way to restore the previous Launchpad in place of Apps? It was so easy just swiping 4 fingers on the trackpad and clicking the icon I wanted (which I placed based on what was best for my workflow). Now the swipe brings up some limited list and I can't find anything.

The Yamaha PSR-SX720 keyboard has been moved back out of my office now that the summer remaster project has ended. While a bit disappointed it is over (for now), I'm looking forward to picking things back up starting with my 2015 album remaster next year. Hope everyone is enjoying the songs.

Just finished up the new remaster of "A Future to Believe In" from my 2016 "Story Of My Life" album. The new multi-track instrumental is so much closer to how I heard the song in my head than my 2016 attempt 🙂. 4 songs done, 5 to go.

Thought I was finished with the 2025 remaster of "Someday", but something just wasn't sounding quite right to me. Turns out I forgot to include a particular electric guitar part that was in my head when I came up with the song. Added that in and now it sounds complete. 🙂

Finished the 2025 remaster of "Someday" from my 2016 "Story Of My Life" album. Sometimes less is more. Spent time recording some strings for this one and… it just doesn't fit with the other instrumentation. Took them out and it sounds so much better so I'm going with that! 3 songs done, 6 to go.
