An OTTER!! 🦦 not my normal #photo of birds but I’ve been trying to see one for ages. Chasing down rumor and recommendations. Finally saw this one out in the sound playing and hunting randomly. Very excited to go through the hundreds of photos to see what is there and usable. #wildlife

Found out today I’ve missed my meds for like 4 days… good news- I finally saw an otter.

The Osprey having a bath was not something I ever expected to see but was a wonderful experience 🪶

This Osprey flew in to a marshland filled with ducks and gulls then started walking around. 🪶

A crow was pestering an Osprey as it hauled off its catch 🪶

This heron flew up to perch just behind me on the dock. It kept a look out just to fight off any other herons in between cleaning its feathers. 🪶

Caught this young wood duck in mid snack on some crunchy greens. 🪶

The Osprey was in the tree right above me (couldn’t get a photo through the pine needles) but did manage to get its splash down and departure empty clawed. I always wondering what their success rate is. 🪶

Momma caught just before she walks on water over her babies to get ahead of them. 🪶

I love seeing the little ducklings try out how to be a duck. Standing tall and flapping those wings 🪶!!

Been waking up super early to try and get #photos of the #wildlife at a near by river. It’s the second time this week I’ve seen a beaver; which just goes to show how much happens at different times then I normally was there. I’m hoping to keep seeing new things.

I’m wondering if anyone can help me out ID this mammal. I am fairly confident it’s a beaver however a fellow photographer at the time said they hadn’t seen one in that area before and generally otters are in the area. 🫡 #nature #wildlife #beaver or #otter

I really enjoy catching a birb 🪶 scratching itself. I haven’t seen a heron give itself chin scratches before, new lifer there. #nature

I have found a spot to hang out at 7am to watch nature 🌱 in peace. A true joy given all the news. Plenty of birds 🪶 and the occasional mammal

As someone who saw this the first time around there is a clear bright line between then and now which means they will not have the same mandate or ability to push support

I got to catch this little beaver swimming through the river with what looks like bits of sea grass. I’ve never been able to get a photo of one before so this was very thrilling #nature 📸

This eagle kept coming around to try and steal this spot from the heron. It bravely held its ground for maybe 30 minutes. I have seen eagles steal fish but never a floating log perch. 🪶

I preordered a while ago the Sony 400-800📸 and got it yesterday. Only had a little bit of time to test after but fun to do a test to see the difference in max range of my old 500 vs 800. Of course still needed to get a birb 🪶. I’m very excited to get this out more and put it through the paces

This tree swallow 🪶 chick waits with bated open mouth to receive another dragonfly from its parent. There are two chicks in this one box that I watched put their heads out between each other.

My friends place has a hummingbird nest right next to their back door on a line and the babies are starting to look very cute. His updates are ongoing so hoping to share with y’all the progress. 🪶

They seem so happy. Was able to catch this chick taking a jump while following their parent from one grazing spot to another. 🪶
