If it was an experiment, I think it’s fair to say that the “pay to play” model of the blue check verification on X / Twitter has ultimately rendered it all but useless as a signal for humanity. I don’t think there’s a silver bullet for validation, but it’s clear that this ain’t it.

Disappointed to see the shift at Dribbble, but it also feels like a direction it’s been moving towards for a while. I’m grateful for what it was. Truthfully, I made my early career because of Dribbble. It allowed me to get distribution, land clients, and (most importantly) to connect with others.

Tremendous Festivus family celebration tonight. The Airing of Grievances was quite exhaustive (maybe too?), but the Feats of Strength were a true seasonal highlight. No miracles. Yet.
