No physio exercises today (1st time in 6 weeks). 10 min morning yoga stretches and 30 minutes swimming.

Let’s hope I can start some exercises soon. Need to wait a while to see my physio again.

Not been to the gym since May 2025, changed medication & gained so much weight. Heavier now than when I was in my 30’s. (I eat my feelings about being gay). Lost weight in my 40’s and 50’s and gained most of it back.

Here are the exercises that I’ve been doing for 6 weeks! Today is the last day. Thought I’d upload them here! #physio

More slow improvements today. Swimming seemed to have helped, yesterday. Also walked for 45 mins. No extra painkillers overnight

Another reasonable night, was able to walk & do house chores today, not too bad pain - maybe 2/3 out of 10.

Walking improved today. Only 1 extra painkiller overnight. Hopefully will swim 🏊‍♀️ next a day or two!

Day 6 of my no #yoga #30daychallenge it’s odd starting the year without time on the mat. I hope others are able to continue with their challenge!

I was unable to sleep until 3:30am. Which is fairly usual for me. My left hip, leg and knee felt out of alignment. Worn a strap around my knee most of night. Very sore. 3/10 to a 7/10. I’m sticking with the excise plan, until 19th Jan (only those very limited ones I can do). Some walking too.

A terrible night’s sleep (or lack thereof!). Back to bed now for an hour or so. 😳😢

Been using the ‘tens 7000’ every day for 30mins since it arrived last week. I’ve managed to walk for over 30 minutes for two days in a row, at a pain level of 2/3. It’s been a long while since I’ve done that! #slowrecovery

Another good night’s rest. Only got up 4 times & at least 3 periods of over 3 hours sleep. Listen to your physio!

Good luck to everyone who are starting their yoga journey with Tim Sense today. He is an amazing guide. I’m so disappointed that for the first time in over 5 years I won’t be able to do the challenge. My own challenge is having to face my recovery in a different direction.

Today has been a 3 (on a scale of 0 no pain to 10 pain is unbearable). 4 hours sleep, which is unusual, usually less.

Another terrible night, 4 hours from 03:30 to 07:30. Tried the Tens machine & physio’s exercises. Been working all morning, getting naps.

Another milestone arrived yesterday. My recovery isn’t going well. The physio has recommended a ‘Tens 7000’ machine. As & when needed, electronic shocks down my hip/back/leg. Did one session yesterday and another today.

My physio has told me ‘no yoga’ for at least 6 weeks. So I shall miss the 30 day challenge, which I’ve completed for the last 5 years. My continued hip issue is preventing me from doing routine chores, as well as exercise. Only the exercises she has given me today, I should do until 19th Jan.
