We are watching another bird video on tv and mom went and sat on the floor by Stellaluna to watch with her/ bond. Well, as soon as mom sat, all the birds on tv flew away. Crazy perfect accidental timing. So Stellaluna FUSSED at mom. She glared at her and meowed twice like “why’d you do that?!😾” 😂😅

Soon as mom walked out of her bedroom this morning, Purrl saw her, meowed excitedly, ran up to her and practically jumped in her arms purring. 🥹 Yesterday mom got sassy Purrl, today it’s sweet Purrl. Both equally adorable.

We are about to be plummeted by severe weather for the next 4 days with tomorrow and Friday being the worst, and then rain expected almost every day until next Wednesday. But as far as tomorrow and Friday, we are being told to expect heavy rain, hail, and possible tornadoes. Wish us luck please! 🐾

Tonight has been cat tv night! We both started watching sitting up near the tv, but now Purrl is watching from her bed 😹 and Stellaluna is sleeping.

Mom: I just went to the pet store one day and saw this cat, and asked them “may I have that mostly white calico?” and they said “Do you promise you’re a good person?” and I said “Yes, I promise.” Then they said “Ok we’ll believe you. You can take her.” And now I have the sweetest kitty ever. 🥹

📢📢📢 A MILESTONE HAS BEEN REACHED. Stellaluna just did her first ever ekekek! The humans had plastic on the windows all winter to keep the heat in/cold out, but recently took it down. Stellaluna now loves looking out at the balcony and today she did a small, but noticeable ekekek. 🥹🖤

Mom just said we’re like Timmy and Tommy in the shop on Animal Crossing because we follow right behind her everywhere she goes. 😹

So cute momma had to put it on the fridge. 😻

Today was Stellaluna’s first EVER Valentine’s Day and Purrl’s second in her forever home already! That flew by. We’ll post new pics soon, but in the meantime please enjoy these of Purrl from last year because they’re so good they deserve a second go-around.

Our humans drove HOURS in the heavy rain/ bad traffic today to go to Natural Bridge Caverns. Mom has been 4 times now, but our other human had never been. Can you spot the Siamese cat in this pic? Level: Expert Answer in comments.

My mom says it’s Friday the 13th and besides Halloween, today is my time to shine! I don’t understand why. I’m just a girl.

Mom put a dog show on tv and we were INTERESTED! Stellaluna started watching first, then she had to move closer to the tv. Purrl watched for 5min and Stellaluna for 15! 😹

The other human went to take a nap and I just don’t know why they would do that without me. I love naps.

Tonight we got to paint! Mom let us each pick out 7 colors, then dotted them on a canvas, put them in a ziplock bag, and put our treats on top. We are now artists! We will show the finished paintings when they’re done drying. P=Purrl’s color selection, S= Stellaluna’s

Mom is excited to have us announce that after almost 6 years of playing Animal Crossing New Horizons, she finally ran in to her number one dream villager this evening & she’s moving to the island tomorrow!

It is 1:30am. Our apartment complex has a dog that barks outside at all hours and it’s extra loud right now. Apartment management has even sent out a notice saying no loud barking dogs outside at sleep hours.. that didn’t help. Us kitties and our humans are over it. Also, poor dog. Let him inside! 😾

I am very proud of the pile of crinkle balls I have made by my water bowl. I play with one a bit, then I drop in off here. 😹

Happy #Caturday! This morning mom was still in bed & heard a little knock on her bedroom door. She opened the door & it was us both to tell her good morning! We both jumped in bed & purred. She said she can’t believe how sweet we are! 😻🥹 Stellaluna isn’t as social as Purrl, but she’s getting better!

The ice has melted and we’re getting along again. Believe it or not, Stellaluna is facing forward in the first pic. 😹 We are supposed to freeze again Saturday and Sunday, but no more rain during the freeze this time, so the roads should be safe! 🐾

Icy day 3. We are above freezing! Not for long. But long enough that the ice has turned into a powdery kinda snow. Mom took these pictures today and built a little snowman! ⛄️

The solid ice from yesterday melted a little bit, then refroze into very slippery ice today. Our humans went on a walking exploration and kept slipping and sliding. We are a bit warmer than last night currently. Temp 25°F, “feels like” 24°F. Glad the feels like temp has raised considerably. 🐾

Come on, Purrl! Scooch over just a little bit! 🐈‍⬛ Sisters. 😹

It is 18°F outside, “feels like” 4°F. Our heater is trying to keep up, but we are cold. I appreciate a blanket. Stellaluna is up in the loft to find warmth. Thankful we have a heater at all.

Today, we have ice. Lots and lots of unbudging ice. It looks pretty, like snow! But it is solid and slippery ice and mom says the air outside burns it’s so cold. 🥶 We are very thankful to still have electricity and warmth indoors. We are cuddled on mom’s lap while she plays Life is Strange. 🎮

Purrl 15min after she bullied Stellaluna off the top of the scratcher. Apology accepted.

It’s 1:30am. This is the walkway by our house.. that’s not snow, it’s ice. We are snuggled up. Mom recently saw a video of cars slipping and sliding on a nearby highway… stay safe out there. 🥲

Mom opened the front door and let us peek out at the snow and ice! Purrl was a bit nervous but Stellaluna was very interested! Her first time seeing snow! 🥰 Got some accidentally creepy pictures of the moment.

It snowed for about 30min! Back to sleet now. But mom says the snow was pretty! She offered us kitties to go see it but we said absolutely no thanks.

Snow has entered the chat!!! This is not a drill! (We like some snow here, it’s rare to see.)

Stellaluna’s been hogging the top of the scratcher all day. I tried to make her move by sitting on her, pinning her down and biting her ears real hard, but I was promptly scooped up and told mean kitties don’t get their way. 😾 So Stellaluna remains.

Storm update: We have officially hit freezing outside. 31°F,”feels like” 20°F. Rain is going to start around 9:30pm& last until 6am. This is going to be the bad rain since it’s actually freezing now. We are expected to have almost half an inch of ice by tomorrow, paws in for electricity to stay on🐾

Proof it’s cold - Stellaluna actually let the humans put a blanket over her. Purrl was way ahead of her and got right in the cozy bundle of blankets as soon as mom sat down.

Oh, it’s COLD. A couple towns over lost power and two neighborhoods 30min away lost power. Today isn’t even “bad” compared to what tomorrow and Monday will be! Currently: 34°F, “feels like” 16°. We have resorted to dramatic play fighting to keep warm. The heater is on but the cold is laughing at it.

We feel the temperature dropping. Mom’s phone says it’s 40°F outside but “feels like” 26°F. It’s been raining for hours, sleet is supposed to start soon & last until 8am or so, then let up until 6pm tomorrow (Saturday.) Stellaluna is warm in her bed and Purrl is cozy on mom’s lap. Stay safe, all! 💗
