MFA Thesis Exhibition season is approaching. I’m working with many more sculptors this year because my friend and colleague John Monti is on sabbatical. This is the art in progress of Wei-Yuan Chang. He works hard, and there’s always something new cooking in his studio. He’s in pupa/chrysalis phase.

I’m happy to be participating in a group exhibition with many notable painters celebrating the life of Jeremy-Gilbert Rolfe at Art Cake soon. Art Cake has become an important institutional art hub in South Brooklyn. I met Gilbert-Rolfe a few times, most memorably through Christian Haub, (more below)

I have a never ending fascination with the micaceous grounds of Sharaku’s woodblock prints. The full, short, cycle is often on view in one small room at the Met.
