fucked up in godot getting custom uids to work

I think the problem here is that there are a lot of older games that look & run better than certain modern ones We get devs taking advantage of newer hardware to skip crucial optimizations that most certainly would have been applied to older titles, even if they also weren't optimized for the time.

Currently trying to go about updating this to be able to take advantage of a few Godot 4.4 features, as well as just some tweaks to its overall design that I think will make using it much easier.

Starting to think that the freelance game dev job that I thought I was able to score might've ghosted me.

Messing around with both UE5 and Godot, and honestly, I really prefer Godot over the other. I find UE5 way too bloated personally, and Godot feels like something I can way more easily customize into my workflow.

Pondering if humans in Deltarune/Undertale can pull shit like this off with their SOUL.

Really hoping that this doesn't screw over Skyblivion if true. That project's nearing completion at this point, and I don't want them striking it down or whatev.

Just now realizing post-release that I could probably get rid of some additional overhead by replacing the Polygon2Ds with fake versions on runtime that just hold the Polygon2D data with identical properties so that the addon is still fully compatible with AnimationPlayer node animations.

Decided that maybe $15 was a little pricey. Knocked the minimum price down to a more appealing $10. #Godot #GodotAddon #MadeWithGodot

The whole point of game design is to hold the player's hand in a way that doesn't come off as jarring You can have a spotlight on an item, climbable ledges given a brighter material, etc You are given a million ways to emphasize to the player something you need to do... and you choose yellow paint
