Another fat guy post: Soowon Galbi in Korea Town LA is my go to spot for Korean BBQ. It never disappoints. Parking is valet and I suggest going early to avoid a long wait but it’s been there for awhile and there’s a legit reason for that

So…with climate change denial added to vocal criticism of FEMA plus the real chance of civil unrest, I’ve reevaluated prepping. I’m not stock piling resources, but I am getting some basic things. Not to be alarmist, but it’s better to have something and not need it than need it and not have it.

Another fat guy post: Daukokuya is my favorite ramen spot in LA. When possible go to the one on 1st in Little Tokyo. You will probably need to be on a wait list, but definitely worth it. Thank me later.

Another fat guy post: If you’re ever in SoCal and are looking for good Indian Cuisine, I highly recommend the Copper Pot in Redondo Beach. They do ask what level of spice tolerance you have.

Preppers must be watching the news and losing their minds. Is it Red Dawn, Contagion, Civil War or the Walking Dead? How many MRE’s will they need? Can they stock another 20,000 rounds of ammunition?

Another food post from a fat guy: If you are ever in San Pedro, La Siciliano’s has really good Ragu Arancini. They only make them a couple of days a week though so call ahead, your stomach will thank you.

Another lesson from a toddler: Adults don’t do joyful “reckless abandon” nearly enough and that may be why we don’t regularly wake up laughing.

Further lessons from a toddler: Getting peed on isn’t as fun as it used to sound like. Going an entire day in only one outfit is a major accomplishment. When someone offers you something to eat and you don’t like it, you aren’t obligated to eat it.

Further lessons from a toddler: Singing should always be a group activity. It doesn’t matter if you’re good at something. If it makes you happy and isn’t hurting anyone, go for it. Appreciating other’s abilities is the best and fastest way to expand your own.
