For those that don't know, discord is doing random age verification checks outside of the UK and Australia as part of an "experiment". I contacted support, listing the European and Local (Portugal) laws they were breaking. This was their answer:

This platform was quite literally built to avoid the effects of arbitrary influences from outside forces. We cannot allow this because this is how it starts. No to arbitrary censorship, put the power in the user. #bskycensorship
