It's been a busy but productive week. I had a very constructive meeting with Prime Minister Carney and started to work on our shared objectives for downtown Ottawa and the ByWard Market. We announced our objective of ending youth homelessness by 2030.

Housing is too expensive for too many families. Ottawa’s Housing Action Plan will overhaul the system at City Hall, cutting red tape and making it easier for responsible projects to move forward.

Being a teenager is hard enough when you have a home to go to. It’s almost impossible when you don’t. I pledge that by 2030, we will end youth homelessness in Ottawa.

Very pleased to join Ottawa councillors and MPs for the announcement today by Prime Minister Mark Carney and Housing Minister Gregor Robertson on the launch of Build Canada Homes. I’m very glad to see Ottawa on the list of the first few communities where this new agency will get to work.
