Does anyone know if there’s been any attempts to get Gary Mabbutt a Knighthood? He got an MBE back in 1994, but his work since then connecting with and serving our older fanbase has been absolutely extraordinary, as well as many other great causes, and he truly deserves meaningful recognition.

I think Levy would probably have sacked Frank this morning. Nuno got sacked a full month before this point in the season and it feels a very comparable situation. So this is an interesting moment, as it’s really our first chance to see what’s changed.

Ok so there’s no obvious candidate to replace Frank, so look beyond the obvious. Managers like Glasner, Maresca, even Arteta were not obvious candidates taken from established PL managerial positions. We supposedly have this amazing scoring network so use it.

My family has been going to Spurs for 100 years. My children are fourth generation fans. But I’m seriously considering stopping my season tickets. Prices keep going up, it takes up more and more of my time, and the reward is non-existent. There is no joy in it anymore. I honestly think I’m done.

It’s all very reminiscent of the Nuno era. Great start, great league position, but a pervasive sense that it’s just not right. And while I think Frank hasn’t been given a proper chance, I suspect it will end similarly.

I don’t think we were 3-0 good, but that’s an excellent tactical performance. Frank has yet to work out how to best set up at home, but these kind of games are clearly his sweet spot.

Jesus if as a Spurs fan you can’t be fully happy after a win, a decent enough performance and breaking an international break curse then what’s the bloody point? Honestly? It’s always the people bogged down in stats, such a weird way to enjoy football.

That’s a very good result, and honestly a very good performance overall.

Is there are player you hate so much that even them coming to Spurs wouldn’t change that? Cucurella might be that player for me. But then again I used to feel that way about Richi.

I feel like the analysis of “goal scoring opportunity” often goes way over the top. That was such a clear red for me. I don’t care about whether defenders are tracking back or whether he would have got the ball. You take out the last player like that’s and it’s a red.

Got to remember these are still really early days, and a lot of young players. We look good, just not quite all coming together.

I’m a bit disappointed crosses to Richi in the box doesn’t seem to be a way to score goals. You’d think it would be. I really thought he was going to thrive in this set up first couple of games but it seems to have stopped working somehow. And yes I know he scored but it was a scramble really.

I’m seeing a lot of “Frank is a defensive manager” posts today. I see it more as a “Frank is a prioritises winning over scoring loads of goals manager” personally. I get it wasn’t scintillating stuff, but we won a game we could (and probably should) have lost. I’m absolutely fine with that.

Luckily it was Pepe, but a footballer would have scored there. Time to change it up.
