Concerning the new Demon Slayer movie; a lot of my issues with it are the same issues I’ve always had with the show. Odd structural choices, scenes that drag on a bit, monologues that run on and misplaced flashbacks. It’s not a bad show, it never was, but it’s not that good either. -

The first Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie is very not bad.

I haven’t posted in a while but I’m still kicking around. I’ve been watching more anime lately but my feelings on the anime community and fandom are pretty much summarized with:

You know these people complaining that Canada and Europe (and others) already charge tariffs on certain goods from the states - it’s because the products are regulated. Certain ingredients are not permitted to be used for food products - this is why.

I went and looked at some old “reviews” for Queen’s Blade and the general attitude towards these types of ecchi shows and an often cited takedown seems to be “if you want to see tits/porn you can just find that on the internet, why bother watching an anime with it?” -

When it comes to anime, everyone’s a critic, however; the overwhelming majority are terrible at it.

Don’t have a specific favourite genre, I just like good shows - and every genre provides that.

Berserk - every time. Darker than Black.

It’s not so much that I have an issue with any particular trope; it’s poor execution of any given trope that creates a problem.

Samurai Champloo, Chobits, Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, Welcome to the NHK, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Kino’s Journey, Paranoia Agent Mushishi, Darker Than Black. So many.

Easy: Cowboy Bebop, Neon Genesis and Revolutionary Girl Utena. Sailor Moon, Trigun, Berserk and Outlaw Star.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Princess Jellyfish, Shiki, And Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. Maybe Tatami Galaxy and Ping Pong (if people are willing to give them a chance). Just to name a few.
