Rise and shine… ⏰🌆 A very early start for me this morning as I’m heading down to Birmingham for the Child Brain Injury Conference today. Looking forward to what should be an insightful but jam-packed day of learning and networking alongside my fellow JAS SLTs, Lauren Booth and Honor Grimes.

Thank you Patrick Boyd & BABICM for a very informative session on Visual Impairment after Brain Injury this lunchtime. A really useful document for the whole MDT to ensure that all factors in a patient’s injury and recovery are considered. That PDF will certainly be downloaded this afternoon! 💻

I’ve had a lovely morning speaking to a great bunch of case managers about the role of SLT with Dysphagia. A whistle-stop tour of an in-depth area but hopefully some learning points taken away about when to instruct a SLT and confirmation that Dysphagia is not just about coughing and choking! 🍴
