Watching They Will Kill You, knowing nothing: Husband - So was this directed by a man or woman? Me - A dude licked a sleeping girl's toe and now she's samurai slicing everyone up in her undies. This is definitely a man's work.

Another $1 movie day. Took the kid to see K Pop Demon Hunters. He ate too much popcorn and M&Ms and puked on the ride home. My car will never smell the same. 😭

$1 movie day. Took the kid to see Kung Fu Panda 4. Fell asleep towards the end and was woken up by Jack Black singing a Briteny Spears song.

Shout-out to the kid screaming "Lightning McQueen!!!" and zooming around the skating rink to Life is a Highway.

Saw I Love Boosters last night and what a fun, weird and wild ride! So much more than I expected in the best ways!

My 12 year old wants to watch R rated movies. I said I have to approve. First up, Frankenstein!

Another memorable Indy 500 in the books. Afterwards my drunk dad and brother made us stop at White Castle. I'm always amazed and disgusted at how that place is both slippery and sticky.

If you're ever looking for a cute, family friendly murder mystery with talking animals, see The Sheep Detectives. My family and I loved it! Seriously underestimated how good it was going to be.

Started Big Mistakes tonight and I've never laughed more than when he realized she was digging up the wrong grave! We had to pause, deal with a cramp in my side and get off the floor, I was laughing so hard. 🤣

I have maybe 4 more scenes and this new first draft is worthy of THE END.... But it's May and I live in Indy and there are sooo many distractions.

Go see Is God Is. Beautiful, stunning and thrilling revenge movie. Like Jake and Elwood, these girls are on a mission from God.

Just saw Obsession and OMG the audience reaction was epic! Such a great horror movie!

Last day of the film fest. Running off of very little sleep. Didn't eat lunch because I wanted to talk to new filmmaking friends before they hit the road. Living off film, community and adrenaline. This is the dream. ❤️

Film Fest day...IDK, Saturday. Caught a cool doc. Brought my kid to see a movie! The filmmakers were so happy to see him there! Some more shorts. Then the night was a blur of beer and karaoke. Great day!

Gregg Araki's I Want Your Sex comes out this July but I just saw it tonight because we cool like that at Indy Film Fest. 😎

Film fest day 3- 10 shorts in today. Showings are selling out! Not to worry, just made a friend about to screen a rough cut of his horror/comedy upstairs. Scarf down some pizza and I'm so there. 😎

Film fest day 1- It's like a family reunion! Friends I haven't seen in real life appear and we catch up on what we've been working on. Oh, and we watch a great movie.

So I'm reading Hemingway's A Farewell to Arms and I have 1 chapter left and I suddenly remember that rant about it from Silver Linings Playbook and I've warned my husband I'm about to be a whole problem at Easter when this emotionally devastates me.

My parents worry that I walk around by myself downtown for fun and they got themselves stuck in a goddamn ditch last night.

I'm an adult. With grown up money. I'll buy myself a KPop Demon Hunters Happy Meal if I want to. (Huntrix sauce is way better than purple Demon sauce.)

My kid is now 12 and only an inch and a half shorter than me. Time needs to slow down.

Got back home and sat on my couch for 10 minutes and suddenly I felt all the walking I did in my legs and all the sazeracs still swirling in my veins.

There's nowhere in the world I love to walk around more than The French Quarter in New Orleans. Charming, beautiful and dirty. Full of music, hustlers, strange history, booze and art. I've never felt more at home.

Took my kids to New Orleans, one of the best food cities in the world. They ate nothing but chicken tenders. But they did love the beignets!

Nawlins, I'm back baby! Nah, sorry I can't get f*cked up this time, I got my kids with me.... Ok maybe just a lil bit. 😎

The intense longing to sit alone in a dark theater and cry while watching Train Dreams on a huge screen...

Not a bad #Oscar night. On a happy personal note, this was the first time my oldest kid stayed up through the whole show. I was about his age the first time I stayed up for Best Picture and I haven't missed it since.

So happy for Michael B. Jordan! I knew he'd win an #Oscar back when I first saw Fruitvale Station. Such an honor to watch him make history.

Aw, my kid didn't stay up late enough to see Huntrix. He wore his KPop Demon Hunters shirt all day for this. I guess that's what Youtube is for tomorrow. #Oscars
