My ma busts my balls over not talking to people when I do go to my one in person class on campus; but she doesn't get it. Other acquaintances and friends make fun of me for it too but they don't get it either. But I suppose at the end of the day it really is just both funny and pathetic on my end.

College especially has just been so dogshit it's almost comedic. Most people would be happy to be doing online courses, but my human interaction has dwindled so much and it's so much harder for me to complete my work.

I know there's people out there with worse problems and life than mine; but my god bruh. God has literally been testing me this entire year and it just keeps getting worse.

I saw someone post about getting early access to the Roblox dating feature, and it is genuinely disgusting. They are recommending 6-17 year old minors accounts to adults, one of the oldest I saw being 39. Doesn't this raise ANY red flags??? And why are not a lot of people talking about this??

So, if these higher-ups are so worried about "protecting kids on the internet", why haven't they done something about all this shit happening on Roblox?

sorry to get political, but if they wanted to protect kids, they would feed them. they would invest in their education. they would build more parks, more programs, and invest in their future. if they wanted to protect kids, they would build a world meant for them.

I swear, we are literally reaching some "1984" type surveillance and dictatorship with everything rolling out. They aren't protecting kids. They aren't offering privacy. They are stripping away our privacy and information to have total control over what we do. There's no safety or security here.

We can't rely on the internet to be the parent(s) for these kids. Parents have got to be more involved in what their kids are doing online to prevent them from accessing this shit. From my personal experience it's easier for parents to blame the internet than take responsibility for not looking.

Funniest part about all of this is the fact this bill can't even regulate illegal sites which makes it almost fucking useless. Illegal sites are a huge way minors access explicit and damaging material, and I can say that as someone who as a child accessed that shit from illegal sites.

At this point, it does not fuckin' matter whose side you are on--Democrat or Republican--because this affects all of us. Both sides are run by pigs in suits and dresses. We can not become desensitized to this abuse of power.
