Our Concept Cat study featured in Nursery World yesterday. It showed whole class vocabulary teaching worked in Early Years and promoted learning of abstract concepts and wait for it, this also impacted on maths. EYPP children made accelerated progress too. www.nurseryworld.co.uk/content/news...

Girlcat is his love, but Boycat plays an exciting game we have named ‘blanket of death!’ The cat hides under the blanket and we attempt to gently poke him without losing a limb. It is Boycat’s favourite game and he has learnt he can rush towards us for extra squeals! #dld #devlangdis #pets

I keep a list with key phrases the little guy uses. I look for patterns or use examples in meetings. I added 2 new phrases: “turn the curtains off” (close the curtains) “mum switch off the door” (close the door). So objects that can change position are on or off to him. #dld #devlangdis #linguistics
