Here's the #penguinpicoftheday, #PPOTD, this time of Adélie penguins at Cape Crozier, located at the eastern end of Ross Island, southern Ross Sea. This place is so special, with hundreds of thousands of birds. You can see how far back the colony stretches, it feels like it goes on forever. 🧪🌎🦑🦉

Chinstrap penguin glaring into the camera is the #penguinpicoftheday #PPOTD and did you know that they get their beauty rest (11 hours a day!) by nodding off in 4-second intervals... 10,000 times. I mean that's champion power napping. 🧪🌍🦑🦉
