Big news! Last night at the Caring UK Awards, Eilean Dubh Care Home was crowned Regional Care Home of the Year Scotland. Judges praised the team’s high care standards, creative wellbeing programme and strong community links. Congratulations to the whole Eilean Dubh team on a well deserved win.

We thought we'd share this lovely moment from Glenisla care home in Keith. Resident Morag Macintyre (92) and carer Kenna Johnston (17) teamed up for an impromptu performance of I Dreamed a Dream. Two talented performers sharing a special musical moment.

After last year’s sharp rise in employer national insurance, we hope there are no nasty surprises for social care in tomorrow’s #Budget. Stability is essential for planning, staffing and delivering the care our residents depend on.

At a time when many areas are losing care provision, Parklands is investing for the future. By 2027, we will have delivered 150 new beds in just two years, strengthening care in Highland, Moray and Aberdeenshire and helping older people stay close to family and community.

Life in a care home doesn’t mean leaving passions behind. Billy at Eilean Dubh has spent this year modelling in a charity fashion show, winning horticultural awards (he’s a very keen gardener) and rekindling his passion for performing. Anything's possible in care. #BeLikeBilly

On Armistice Day, we join people around the world in remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the pursuit of peace. At 11am, we will fall silent to reflect on their courage - and to honour the veterans among us whose service reminds us of the true cost of freedom. Lest we forget. 🌺

Today we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We will remember them. ❤️🌺 We also honour those in our care who served with pride and distinction — their service continues to inspire us all.
