🎵 Wake me up when September ends 🎵

Yesterday started out as a very hard day. Stress has been high around here with work, family, and my content... and I'm still processing an old friend of mine passing away on top of that. And then, THIS EFFING SONG plays. I had a good sob, a deep breath, and things were just a little bit better.

No stream tonight. I found out last night one of my close friends from middle school passed away. We didn't talk much since I left KY, but it's hitting me hard, along with Everything Else going on. It's hard to process. I need to take care of my mental state. We'll pick it back up tomorrow, maybe.

I haven't mentioned it much lately, but... I want to take a moment to thank everyone that's visited, subscribed, and stuck around to the streams and content that I make. Real talk: it's very hard to hit the "Go Live" button some days, and seeing everyone come around makes it all worth it.

Last night one of my fellow guild members in ESO hopped on stream, and we blazed our way through the Infinite Archive. It's basically a roguelike dungeon in ESO. It's also incredibly fun; it reminds me a bit of the Palace of the Dead in FFXIV. I'm thinking about putting together a build for it.

The last week has been -incredibly- rough. I've been trying VERY hard to manage my blood sugar thanks to a 'pre-diabetic' diagnosis. I was put on Metformin, and y'all... it wrecked me. I put in a request to my doctor today to get the dose adjusted, but whew - it was awful for a week there.

I'd started a new medicine - metformin - for my blood sugar, and have been really trying to take it consistently. Consequently, this week has S U C K E D, up until today... when I chose not to take it until this evening. I'm fairly confident that it was tanking my blood sugar too low.

Tonight's plans are three fold: 1) Finish setting up my "new" PC after the reboot to 23H2 2) Finish setting up the homepage on my new website 3) Install Vintage Story to test it for stream Let's do it.

After rebuilding Windows 23H2 from source, creating the ISO (thankfully there was a script that could do it), mounting... and a -complete- refresh/install... we are back. Quick tests today were hopeful. I think we're good to stream Thursday night.

So... it looks like that a Windows update that happened over the sabbatical has completely borked my ability to play Fallout 76. I'm in the process of rolling back to Win11-23H2... and trying to preserve my computer in the process. ...If I can't PLAY Fallout 76, much less stream it... :(

Call it a trademark style, but I love taking a block theme and doing something funky. Static, vertical header? Bright colors with gradients? An aesthetic that's a bit 'rough around the edge'? Check, check, and check. (coming soon)

A reminder of my stance on AI: We use AI at WebDevStudios, but I will -never- allow someone to wholesale use AI to develop. We have the most skilled engineers in the world here. We use it, like many other things, as a TOOL, and not the end solution. A human will always be involved. Period.
