Back then I had no idea how long this would take. When you’re independent you don’t get radio or TV or festival slots handed to you. You just work for years and hope the music reaches the right people. Then I look at the next photo in this carousel… a full room on this tour. People turning up in their own homemade masks. People painting their nails with the Soul Boy logo. People travelling from all over. The difference between those two photos hits me HARD! Years of hard work man and years of wondering if it would ever cut through. Years of sitting on a bedroom floor in London trying to keep the dream alivee and now we have a REAL community. I don’t even like calling it a fanbase. This is the SB FAMILY. People who actually care about each other and who feel part of something bigger than the songs. I’ve never seen anything like this in my own life. The love on this tour has blown my head off. Every night feels like something UNREAL is happening We’ve already raised over two thousand pounds for the National Autistic Society and the real number is higher with the donations at the shows. Being able to use this platform you helped me build to do good things means the world. Years ago I was stressing about rent. Now we are helping people TOGETHER and that’s mad to me We’ve got four shows left on this sold out tour and this run has changed my life. I know the comedown is going to hit hard after this but with this community behind me I feel ready to take this even higher. And we’re not slowing down.
