I don’t think the Dems ever had a chance of getting Rs to vote for an ACA extension. I know this might make some people angry (understandably) but what this did do was pin this issue on the Rs. The Dems need to unite around that msg. Nothing will change unless Rs are voted out. Play the long game.

It would cost $38 billion dollars to extend the Affordable Care Act subsidies for another year and ensure Americans don’t lose their healthcare. The republicans said no. Trump sent $40 billion to Argentina and they didn’t object. Argentina first, America last.

The Trump administration has the responsibility to feed 42 million hungry Americans. SNAP has about $5 billion in an emergency fund and has the ability to transfer this money to provide funding to cover November benefits. Instead, they're leaving them hungry.

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 84th day out of the last 96. 12 days of work in over 3 months. With full pay and benefits. The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown. It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

I know Mike Johnson says there is nothing for the House to do but there is. You see by law a budget was supposed to be in place by Sept 30th, but Rs haven’t passed one. The reason? There isn’t a GOP budget. They haven’t even started working on one. This is what the House should be doing FFS!
