My wife is teaching our cat to sing the Skyrizi song and I swear it’s working

Our second record turned 10 yesterday. Mike posted a bunch of pictures from when we made/toured it over on IG, if that’s your thing. I still don’t think we ever quite nailed it on one of these, but there are moments on this record that come pretty close for me.

A customer who seemed cool came into my job and was back out the door all within the duration of “Stacy’s Mom.” As they were leaving, it took everything in me not to call out, “I’m listening to the whole album, I swear.”

They did! And Elvis Costello’s first seven or eight records were pretty much my personality (a bad personality!) in my twenties, so you can trust me!

We’ve played together for over fifteen years, since we were dumb children (now dumb men). Last night was our first gig in a year, and our first with Eric’s 9 mo. old daughter in attendance. It feels nice. Not to announce-an-announcement, but a few more gigs coming soon, and they’re real hooters.

You think Nardwuar ever realizes he has an interview coming up with someone he’s never heard of and just says, ah fuck it, I’ll google some lyrics, buy some shit off eBay and make some funny noises?

Pat was just pointing at them, and they didn’t even notice. Just eating each other’s faces. “Zip City” really does whip ass.

I caught the SRO tour already, so I’ll live, but jesus, I’ve hit every dead end possible trying into the Drive By Truckers gig tonight. These fellas are a HIT in Ardmore, PA.

Every Doechii TV performance I’ve seen is batshit insane. She’s impossibly cool.

Whenever I’m fucking off too hard, I remind myself that my work laptop is fast and has GarageBand installed, and my personal laptop actually screams in agony when I turn it on.

Lynch’s passing has so many people talking about the Twin Peaks return season, and now I kinda want to watch it again. But watching it the first time made me an insular weirdo who scrolled too much Reddit. My loved ones and employers seem to like the way I am now. I can’t afford to go back.
