So, NATO is reinforcing its military presence in the territory of one of its members because another member is threatening to annex the territory. Won’t the aggressor then have to declare war upon itself under the terms of the NATO treaty? Perhaps this hasn’t been thought through.

This evening, I was honoured to be inducted into the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in the chapel at the Teresianum. The statue on the altar is of Our Lady presenting St Simon Stock with the first scapular.

King and Pope make history by praying side by side. As an English Catholic, this means a lot. Even now, there is a lingering sense of ‘otherness’ about being a Roman Catholic in this country, like we are ‘not quite English’. Thank you, King Charles, this gesture is appreciated. #ThePope #theKing
