Higher Maths P1 I hesitate to give it oxygen, but what nonsense this petition is! petitionqsmaths.netlify.app All but Q6, Q9, Q11, Q12 were standard. The usual command words were used. No “unusual phrasing”. No “non-standard notation” save an American comma in Q6. @qualifications.gov.scot

Website update: All this improvement work made me want to find out from users which solutions are more or less helpful, so I’ve taken a break from the N5 rewrite to install a feedback feature. First few votes received, and it’s true: Higher Circles eg.7 could still be clearer.

N5 Arcs & Sectors I prefer “sector equals fraction of circle” to the ratio approach that, I concede, connects with the sine rule and probably made 2024 P2 Q15 easier. It’s a philosophical preference, really. I’d rather maximise understanding, even if it’s “harder”. Thoughts?

How best to explain rounding 21.983 to 1 decimal place? I tend to say: - Imagine a ‘cut-off line’: 21.9 | 83. - We’re rounding up because 8≥5. - Imagine 21.9 without its point, as 219. - Add 1 to get 220 - Put the point back again. It’s 22.0. Can you improve this?
