Tony Carruthers was scheduled to be executed today at 10am in TN. For an hour, executioners failed to find a vein to insert an IV. His legal team filed an emergency order to stay the execution, which was denied. Officials have temporarily called off the execution due to the botched attempt.

Tony Carruthers is scheduled to be executed in TN just two weeks from today while there is evidence that has never been tested for DNA. He has always maintained his innocence and was forced to represent himself at trial. The majority of the evidence against him is the testimony of a paid informant.
