The National Autopsy Network #NATON a collaborative project for multicentric autopsy-based research of German Institutes for Pathology, Neuropathology and Forensic Medicine. The electronic backbone is the National Autopsy Registry #NAREG.

In this new NATON proof-of-concept study an interdisciplinary team performed bedside ultrasound-guided minimally invasive autopsy of deceased COVID-19 patients in the ICU, demonstrating the potential to overcome the limitations of research in postmortem studies. www.mdpi.com/2075-4418/14...
