Sending people back to the moon with modern tech is really cool, but it's crazy how boring the press conferences are. Maybe Beakman and Bill Nye gave me an unrealistic expectation for how entertaining science people should be.

I’m watching Lights & Magic, and the funniest thing is how all the artists and fx guys are so fun and casual and ready to experiment for the best result and the greatest sense of fulfillment, meanwhile George Lucas is deteriorating in real time.

My favorite part of Staying Alive with Jon Gabrus & Adam Pally is their random chats at the top of the show, and I am struggling to think if I feel that way about any other podcast.

There was cooler stuff for kids to read in grocery store check out lanes in the 90s. Now print media is dying, brain rot is on the rise, and everyone kind of just assumes nobody under the age of 35 is interested in reading. I will yell at this cloud all day if I have to.

Gotta say, it's a pretty good feeling when you're doctor stops referring to your blood pressure as "out of the danger zone" and starts calling it "good." Triglycerides are still a little high, so I guess the break room muffins at work will need to be a sometimes thing from now on.

Still blows my mind that a Star Wars movie is being filmed, it isn't a jedi thing, and it isn't being shot entirely inside a giant LED cylinder. Pretty excited to learn more about this one.

I will also say that Pike is up there with Picard for me, but rewatching ENT a while back did make me appreciate Archer way more than I did when the show aired. And that’s my most controversial hot take of the week, I’m sure.

A Doctor Who/Trek crossover could work in: 1) Lower Decks. 2) Short Treks 3) An episode of Doctor Who 4) A comic I love that SNW experiments, but the hit rate was way down this year, and I’d like to get back to actually visiting strange new worlds, as the title says.

Remember when we had Short Treks? They need to bring that back. Just 15-30 minute one-offs to tell your stupid "everyone is a sassy vulcan" stories or to test "Spock has a new love interest!" stories before taking them to series. I think Marvel and Star Wars need this too.
