Did you know the United States operates primarily under cooperative federalism (aka “marble-cake federalism")? We cut into that cake on this week’s episode of America at 250: Due Diligence.

I goofed up getting things set up for Saturday's 2300 transmission so I missed about half of the program. WRMI had a very strong signal into northern Florida and I decoded some noise free images.

Eureka, a non-shifted 45-rpm label Radiogram image! Great Program! The Seekers! Pet Clark! Peter & Gordon! I kept thinking The Sorrows' tune was "Cherokee Nation" by Paul Revere & Raiders. Listening & decoding in northern FL, 🇺🇸 WRMI 5950 kHz 9-10 EDT.

From the looks of the last two images (#s 3 & 4) WRMI's signal on 5050 kHz into northern Florida must have fallen off during the tail end of the program. No problem with any of the text modes.

I setup my SDR & computer to catch the 0800-0830 UTC broadcast on 5850 kHz before bedtime. T-storms rolled through the area not long after. FLDigi might have got glitched and produced some wacky real-time images. Decoding from my recording, images & text turned out great!

During Wednesday's broadcast, 1330-1400 UTC on 15770 kHz the only image I decoded locally here in northern Florida, USA was sent in MFSK32. Text decoding in that mode was 100%. Closing MFSK32 text showed a lot more errors. Using a 90' doublet antenna and Airspy HF+.
