Consider this. The US military has lots of bombs, missiles, drones, planes, and bombers to blow shit up. It's EASY to just fly in, blow shit up. What's not easy is to provide aid: food, medicine, jobs, education, yeah, that takes a lot of work. Hell, the US won't even do that for Americans.
