At friends BBQ in München on Saturday and had one of these. I'm not really a spirits person but this was very nice, sensible 28% abv. I think they're quite a small producer and according to the description this is a combination of apples & pears. @barmas.bsky.social do you know these guys?

A Hazy West Coast IPA, seems to be blurring styles. That said it's a good beer, bitterness is definitely in the realms of a West Coast but this example is more citrus led than resinous. Nice beer 🍻

Very exciting here in Freising this morning. Over the last few weeks two young storks have set up nest in the centre of Marienplatz. Apparently they're a young and inexperienced pair. 1/7

Back in Freising and on an Augustiner Heller Bock, cheers all 🍻

€3.90 for an Augustiner from the wood in the centre of München is v.good. "Zum Stiftl" just opposite Eataly and a stones throw from Viktualienmarkt, never really noticed this place before.

I've taken 28 of these large 277l garden sacks to recycling centre the last 3 weeks. This trip yesterday was in Frank (campervan) but most of the trips were in Chico (Beetle) & a 2-3 trips I somehow managed to shoehorn four of these into the back of Chico, impressed with my determination 😄

Back in Freising so on Weihenstephan, btw Loz's Hefeweisse is a regular one not alcohol free as the glass suggests. Cheers all 🍻

That's been another hard day in the garden, now for a Duvel Tripel Hop on the balcony. I'm pleased to report that Globus, Plattling are stocking this beer again, so that was 14 beers in the trolley on Thursday 😂.

Next up the always excellent Camba - Jager Weisse, didn't think that we had any of these left, so this was a nice surprise. Cheers 🍻

I'm making a Lamb, Wild Garlic and Pea Lasagna, apart from couldn't be arsed to drive 45mins to the Turkish Supermarkets in Passau to get lamb 🐑 so mine is with beef 😂. Meanwhile Loz is busy making Wild Garlic Butter and Pesto.

Jandelsbrunner Pils is probably my favourite of the breweries beers. I mentioned a few weeks ago that this brewery was due to close at the end of March so unless I see some stock around this might be my last one ☹️

It's a bit like Tom & Barbara here (TVs- The Good Life, for those who don't know 😉) in from the garden now & using up veg' so it's soup Sunday 😂 we're making - Roasted Red Pepper & Tomato Soup - Chorizo, Fennel & Potato Soup - Mushroom & Madeira Soup - Roasted Cauliflower Soup, - - Broccoli Soup

Next up is this sensational 14% abv Scotch whisky BA beechwood smoked imperial stout. It’s a big dirty peaty smokey malty boozy bastard, that’s by Lough Gill Brewery from Co. Sligo #BskyBeer 🇮🇪🍺

Maybe not a nailed on great example of the style (West Coast IPA) however it's a very good beer.

Needed this after a hard day gardening, just ignore the beer pouring down the side of the glass, nothing to see here 😂

Out on the garden today but not for a while, it's -5c 🥶 so another cold one today.

Next up a West Coast DIPA from Poland.

Back to cold 🥶 mornings and maybe snow again over the next few days.

It's been over five years since I last had this beer, I purchased a case of mixed beers and a glass during COVID, sadly the glass hasn't survived. It was and still is a very decent Heller Bock. Cheers all 🍻

After the very decent Schönramer A/F beer last night, this is something of a comedown, it tastes like someone has tried to add a not particularly good beery flavour at the end of the process. Yeah not great 🫤
