Hey voice actors! Be very careful with this account. The messages read like it is AI and they eventually wanting me to join a different site and send them personal info. Looking it up, other social media accounts of Margery Simkin were hacked as well and used for scams.

I did it! I got my first gaming PC!

Today was a gauntlet of emotions for my auditions. Started super stressed out and overthinking them, and ended with having so much fun that I don’t even mind if I don’t actually get cast since I at least got to play for a couple hours. Need to remember to ignore the worries.

Just giving everyone an update. My grandma had her surgery a few days ago and got released from the hospital today. Everything went well. They want her back in a couple weeks to run more tests and check on her. Thank you all again for all the good wishes. I truly appreciate it.

Just bought tickets to go to Anime Expo next weekend! Looking forward to hopefully seeing a lot of friends there, enjoy the art, guests, and panels, and take a chance at being selected to audition for Bang Zoom. If anyone is going Friday or Saturday please let me know!

I’ve gotten more of those scam voice actor emails these past few weeks than I have the entire rest of my voice acting career combined. If getting one of them means you made it as a voice actor, I wonder what getting this many means.

If Trump is not impeached and removed from office for what he just did, this will further prove that we are in a dictatorship in all but name. He’s unambiguously going against the Constitution and the other two branches of government. Sadly we all know nothing will be done.

Hey everyone, I’d appreciate it if everyone kept my grandma in their thoughts, hearts, or prayers. Recently she was diagnosed with breast cancer that spread to her armpit, and will need surgery to try to remove it. Hopefully she’ll be approved to have it within a month.

Playing Dragon Age: The Veilguard again, and I’m so thankful that it not only lets us play as a non-binary protagonist but they actually talk about it, like the mirror scene or to various NPCs about embracing yourself and of course the ones with Taash helping them with their journey

Hey everyone, Am I good at voice acting? I’ve been feeling really down about myself with this the past few weeks. I’ve been in a drought for a year now, with any new roles I did book never starting or getting dropped due to things like AI. I feel trapped and worthless.

*open my email and see someone directly reaching out to me for voice acting* *get excited and reply I’m interested* *they respond almost immediately with a couple weird replies* *look into it and learn it is one of the TransPerfect scam emails* *get sad* Be careful everyone.

Question for any voice actors who live in the DFW area: How much should I have saved up to live there for a year? I was curious how much of a cushion I need to save up in case I can’t get any voice work there. Will try to get a day job too but asking for worst case scenario.

This decision will probably kill the movie theater industry, costing tens of thousands of Americans including me their jobs. They’re expensive because of how much movies cost to make, so doubling the cost for every Hollywood movie that is even partly made outside the US is going to doom them.

It was so much fun seeing Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith in theaters! It’s the first midnight release I ever went to when it first released, and seeing it again on the big screen in a crowded theater was really special and brought back many memories! #StarWars #RevengeOfTheSith

Yay! I absolutely love the Boruto anime and can’t wait to see it continue with finishing Next Generations and maybe beginning Two Blue Vortex. Also crossing my fingers to even get a chance to audition for it since the Naruto franchise means so much to me, but mainly just excited for more!

The fact the movie pauses and the theater lights turn on almost immediately after this shows that this wasn’t the first time these people disrupted the movie. Someone told the staff earlier, who when they went in everyone was behaving, but they were keeping an eye on them in case it happened again.

Welp, had a first regarding voice acting I wish I didn’t today. Signed up for a workshop but got super busy and completely forgot it was today, only remembering when I saw the wrap up post about it. I’m just going to go cry in a corner all day now.

Another reason for the trip to the Dallas area I’m planning is because I’m hoping to potentially move there sometime this year, so I would also love any suggestions for places to check out or things I should know while I’m there. I would truly appreciate any advice or suggestions please.

I have a question for my friends in Dallas: When are the best times to go there? I’m wanting to do a trip there soon and would love to meet you all in person, and was wondering if there were any times that were really fun to go?

I needed this last weekend. I was feeling really depressed about my voice acting career and everything else, but taking an amazing class learning things about myself and the industry to help guide me followed by a convention reminding me of why I want to do this helped so much.

I’m trying to muster up the courage to submit my character demo to agencies, but I had a question for everyone: If you only have a character demo will they accept you, or do you need a commercial demo too? Just asking to know whether I should submit now or wait until I have a commercial demo too.

I don’t often try manifesting for roles, but I’d love the opportunity to even have the chance to audition for Beelzebub from Blue Exorcist! I absolutely love this BBQ-loving bug boy!

I have a question for anyone who voice acts for Crunchyroll: Are you only able to be added to their talent roster by recommendation, or is there a way to submit your demo to be considered? If the latter, where do you submit it? I know it differs between studios and want to do it the right way.

Just sent out my first cold call to a studio through their website. I was super nervous while writing it, & now worried I messed up somewhere like a typo on my email address or in the message despite triple checking, but I am proud that I finally mustered up the courage to do it.

Here’s an exercising tip for people I’ve learned: If you’re just starting out going to the gym with a trainer that makes you do lots of leg exercises, don’t do that the same day you have to work a long shift at a job where you’re constantly using your legs. Your legs will be super sore the next day.

“As a result of President Trump’s efforts”? First, he’s the one who started this whole movement to ban TikTok in the first place. Second, he’s not even President yet. You undid the ban too early. Way to show everyone this was only ever just a corrupt political stunt.
