I haven’t updated much. I’ve been dealing with some personal difficult things, but I’m safe and just trying to work through it the best I can. Nothing like good ol vague-posting, right? 😅

My son had a sensory meltdown at my dad’s birthday dinner. He ended up busting my lip while I tried to calm him. We left and took him home. He’s never acted like that in a restaurant before.

I’m trying to figure out travel plans. Not really feeling super great about traveling with all the crap going on rn. Maybe I should just work on getting my passport.

I don’t burn bridges, I plant seeds. And if those seeds are watered, they will grow.

Next bucket list trip will be going to the springs in Flori-DUH so I can hopefully see some manatees and otherwise enjoy nature/water. Aiming for my birthday weekend, as the weather will be cooler.

You would think the hardest part of hospice would be dealing with death and dying all the time when it’s really drama from people. 🙄

Sometimes I wish we could see all the different paths and consequences that stemmed from our decisions. That would make shit a lot more efficient. Choose your own adventure.

Trip went way better than expected. I got to meet some goals, cross items off my bucket list and it gave me a really good boost of energy and resolve. On the other hand, transitioning back to regular life has been a challenge. Not like PCD. Something deeper which makes me feel a little unsettled.

I have writer’s block, so I’ve been rewatching Bridgerton and doing other busy work. I’m excited to go to Dallas in a couple weeks, but also woefully unready in terms of flying there. Southwest has always been a steadfast choice, but I’m not pleased with all the changes they have made this year.

I super duper do not want to go back to work. Tomorrow. Or ever. Why does health care have to take up so much of what I have to give??? 😭

Spent a good amount of time swimming today. I wish I was able to do it more often. I feel so settled after.

I got my wax done today and it wasn’t as painful as I anticipated. My legs kinda jerked a little (I apologized at least like 5 times), but it wasn’t bad at all. I never thought I would ever lay on a table butt ass nekkid so a stranger could pour hot wax on me, but we grow more every day. 😅

I’m getting a Brazilian wax tomorrow, so you’re going to hear about my adventures. Just fair warning.

I’m an ADHD adult trying to make it through life with a bunch of perimenopausal coworkers and we’re all just NPCing it through the day. So much brain fog. 🫠

Today was a really busy Monday. I’m glad I have Wednesday off!

We’re going to the Bigfoot Festival here locally and I really just want to go check out the vendor scene, but it’s going to be fun for a hot, hot day.

I hope that this summer I can put a bit of the wanderlust to rest. Orlando and then Dallas. I might plan a trip to Maine too depending on how this next school year goes.

My coworkers and I trade off little plant babies and I’ve been wanting one of these!!!

I've been working on this over that past month or so. Slowly working on it towards making my own skulldog fursuit head. But I forgot to post stuff about it. So the next few posts will be progress on it lol

I need to figure out a way to cope so I’m not constantly feeling on the edge of a fight or flight response. My skin is crawling and it’s tripping me out.

80% + of our payments come from Medicare in hospice. We are a nonprofit, community based hospice. There are some hospice patients in our community where we are the only people who come check on them. Without Medicare reimbursement, we can’t provide medications, supplies or equipment.

I hate when I have a little time and I kinda blow it by not really being productive.

I think a long bath and an audiobook escape is in order. My brain is full today.

Trying to make an effort to consume less social media news. Not eliminate completely, but to consume less. I think it is a time to protect ourselves and not contribute to furthering feelings of helplessness and despair.

I want to do more “feel good” things this year. It’s been tough the last 2 years. It’s weird just trying to find yourself as a person and adjust to so much change..

Winter can stop now. This is too much outsidey stuff for someone who has an hour commute. Thanks.

Everyone is winding down at MFF and I’m sad because for the next week all my memories are my grief posts after Quasi died. It’s hard to believe it’s been 8 years already..

Confession: I would not be upset if they remade the show “Dinosaurs.” But it MUST be made using the same animatronics and puppetry!!

I’m starting a positive initiative at work and compiling all the mentions and nice things our patients/survivors say and will read them to the team at our last team huddle at the end of the month. They are all so great and I want to recognize them for the difference they make.

I don’t really want to do anything today, but the house needs straightened and I need to get the tree up. I know I’ll feel better when it’s done, but blehhhhhhh.

Today was chaos, as anticipated. It’s hospital dump day, since tomorrow is a holiday, so they have to dump patients off and call every agency last minute to try and pick up what they dropped.
