Got “Reverence”, which makes sense. A lot of what excites me to create are the works of other people. They basically demonstrate what can exist and remind of the vast unexplored potential of what doesn’t yet. Through practice and sheer willpower they manifested their vision into a reality.

This is a great way to improve actually, is writing original music in the style of something else. The result is that it basically proves you understand the composing techniques used in the song you’re studying or transcribing, and now have them as tools in your ever-expanding composing “arsenal”.

Here's a little something I wrote using the Rivals of Aether theme for the sequel's launch today. The OST for the first game by @flashygoodness.bsky.social is stacked with awesome tunes; one of my all-time favorites.
