@expo.dev SDK 54 now targets Android 16, which means edge-to-edge will be enabled in all Android apps, and cannot be disabled. Additionally, react-native-edge-to-edge is no longer a dependency of the expo package because the required functionality was built into React Native thanks to @zoontek.me 👏

Expo SDK 54 will support the new .icon format from iOS 26! Just tested it on the latest canary, works great. I made the icon with SnapAI (transparent background), dropped it into Icon Composer, and boom 💥 Instantly got a clean, modern icon that also works on older iOS versions.
