The Strangers Chapter 1 ⭐️⭐️ The couple are more in love then the original…and then the other changes well they just made this average and seen it all before. The original was far scarier, this just felt like a made for tv remake.

Cinema Trip 100 of 2025 One Battle After Another ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A brilliant film, which flew by. Anderson’s direction as always it’s spot. And the cast supports this with excellent performances.

Alien Earth ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Since Alien 3, the Alien Franchise has been a mixed bag. And this series had some great moments but also that just didn’t land and it ended on one of the mixed notes. The Xenomorphs looked fab and the new monsters were cool. I’d still like to see where it goes in season 2.

Cinema trip 99 of 2025 I Swear ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brilliant, touching and heartwarming movie. Aramayo is a tour de force as the adult John Davdison. And he is backed by solid supporting roles from Peake, Mullan and Henderson.

Cinema trip 98 of 2025 A Big Bold Beautiful Journey ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Robbie and Farrell are brilliant in this very different film, I love the unique ideas, but they don’t fully land as a whole. And while you do route for the characters, you don’t fully care for them. It’s quirky but it always charming.

Cinema Trip 96 of 2025 The Long Walk ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A genuinely simple but brilliant piece of cinema. It doesn’t go deep into the why the Walk happens, and only gives us the odd moments away from it. But it’s full of emotion and tension for characters you only glimpse. 1/2

Cinema Trip 95 of 2025 The Conjuring Last Rites ⭐️⭐️⭐️ A solid occasionally creepy final Warren tale. It tries for a more emotional family drama for the Warrens which doesn’t fully land. But the cast are good as you’d expect. I liked it went for more of the creepy jumps which made the first work.

The Old Guard 2 ⭐️⭐️ Like the first it doesn’t do anything new. But sadly it’s worse than the first with its next to no plot, being a middle part. Plus the characters are still cold! Couple action scenes are decent, I did like the way they showed Theron walking down a street through time/memories.

This is what I’ve been pointing out all day! Less than 24 hours she stepped down! Johnson and his cronies admitted to breach after breach and dragged it out!

Cinema trip 94 of 2025 Caught Stealing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Butler is great and is surrounded by brilliant support turns. And while it doesn’t fully land because of its uneven tone there is still something very enjoyable to watch in Aronofsky’s crime caper.

Cinema trip 91 of 2025 Dunkirk I missed this first time only seeing it on the small screen. But it was just as powerful on the big screen. The tension just builds and builds. And Nolan’s direction is just spot on!
