Former news anchor Wes Sarginson, who worked at WSB-TV from 1978-84 and at WXIA-TV from 1997-2008, died on February 4th of esophageal cancer. He was 82.

One viewer was particularly unhappy because she could not listen to the CBS soaps on her TV radio, which only carried VHF stations. CBS moved to then-WGNX-TV 46.
