Another cracking 13th Doctor and Yaz tale from Big Finish. Rochana Patel is on fine form with a look at the moral complexities and complicit nature of war.👍🏿 It rumbles like a juggernaut with a terrific sound design. And we get a great mystery cliffhanger.👏🏿 Loving the journey. ❤️❤️➕🟦 🚶🏿‍♂️🎧📻

Thought I’d go regal and visit a Queen. My historical winner is the late Pauline Collins as Queen Victoria. A nice meaty role in a darkly fun story. Interesting visuals that still entertain and a bit of historical backstory thrown in too. 👍🏿 ❤️❤️➕🟦 🛋️📺

Lovely Wednesday evening with Fallen Angels at Menier Chocolate Factory. The cast are terrific and it looks fabulous. A measured start builds to hilarious farcical proportions.👍🏿 A neglected classic of a play and a great way to start a theatrical year. A gorgeous distraction well worth seeing. 👏🏿😂🎭

First ‘name day’ of the year. Off to the Menier Chocolate Factory for Noël Coward’s Fallen Angels. Quite fond of a touch of Coward so I’m looking forward to it. And it was an early British stage role for Tallulah Bankhead. 👍🏿 😂🎭👏🏿

The other Fab Four are back with an audio annual review. As before it’s affectionate, entertaining, informative and a hoot.👍🏿 The stories have the air of bonkers about them and it appears that Paul Magrs has done terrific adaptations and the readers give them some oomph and shade.👏🏿 ❤️❤️➕🟦 🚶🏿‍♂️📻💿🎧

Quite like the idea of this book, so I’ll have to pass on this review no matter how tantalisingly entertaining it seems. Maybe Trapsters need a 1-10 of spoiler strength for novels so new. A terrific idea and an opening mission that’s relatively easy to complete. Though I did think about it a lot. My winner is The Ribos Operation and Mary Tamm’s Romanadvoratrelundar. A haughty demeanour, fabulous costume, and a cracking story with great characters.👍🏿 ❤️❤️➕🟦 🛋️📺

A Big Finish examination of a classic villain. Lots of creatives: writer, director, actors bring the history of its creation to life. It’s a fascinating listen that makes the story sound even more thrilling.👍🏿 Play out was completely new to me.👏🏿 ❤️❤️➕🟦💿 🛋️🎧📻
