Litter and fly tipping are huge issues in Elswick, affecting the lives of so many residents. I joined the local Newcastle Central and West team on a litter pick, doing our bit to clean the streets whilst talking and listening to residents about their ideas to improve cleanliness

In the Committee today, I asked Lord Vallance if rising prices for medicines - which he’s said are inevitable - will require more NHS funding. I pressed him on whether the Department for Health & the Treasury are discussing how to meet this cost ahead of the Budget. He confirmed they are.

During @CommonsSITC, I challenged John Edwards of @ICOnews on years of poor data practice at the Ministry of Defence - exposed by the Afghan data breach. The ICO had a duty to ensure good data practice, but the Commissioner stood by his decision not to investigate the breach.
