it's weird to walk by someone watching TV and recognize the song in the scene as "the Fatboy Slim song that was in Lumines II"

Lumines got pushed to after this morning's coffee, but I'll be darned if this isn't one of the luckiest piece queues I've ever gotten for a burst; *eight* 4x4 blocks of the burst color. Insane!

SKIN SPOTLIGHT: Big Elpaso Big Elpaso is a standout in Lumines, being the only skin not in a 4/4 time signature. The music, block skin, and SFX seem to remind people of the whole Willy Wonka chocolate factory shtick, so it's often brought up in the perennial "which blocks would you eat" discussion.

SKIN SPOTLIGHT: SHININ' It'd be wrong to start anywhere other than the beginning. SHININ' is certainly the most known skin in the series, and who'd be surprised? An uplifting house track by Mondo Grosso and the Zeiss II planetarium projector in the background make for an unlikely but iconic pairing.
