This week in UK libraries: The National Literacy Trust reports that 1 in 7 state primary schools still lack a library, rising to 1 in 4 in disadvantaged areas. They were invited to 10 Downing Street as part of the National Year of Reading 2026 campaign, which aims to make reading a national passion.
