We experienced a political earthquake this week. Republicans tried to run on an extremist agenda. But the affordability crisis remains top of mind for voters and state Democrats ran confident campaigns with concrete plans on how to tackle the issues.

This is an incredible victory for state Democrats in Mississippi! The balance of power in the state is shifting away from extremism and chaos and towards champions of working families, driven by Democrats’ tireless commitment to their communities.

California voters are standing up for democracy and doing their part to bring the midterm elections back to a level playing field. The next big step? Focusing on expanding the number of Democratic state legislative majorities in the midterms.

Holding onto this chamber was crucial to protecting the progress DFLers have made in Minnesota. The full Senate will be back on the ballot in 2026, and we’ll be ready to defend it again.

Virginia House Dems just shattered expectations, flipping at least 12 seats blue – the largest Democratic victory since the election of 1989. We invested early and aggressively to make this victory a reality, running candidates in all 100 districts.

New Jerseyans held state Republicans accountable for the GOP’s reckless policies, which have driven the cost of living up. These victories set the stage for the 2026 midterms when Democrats have the opportunity for historic success in state legislatures across the country.

Pennsylvanians sent a message to the GOP as they try to take over the judiciary to keep themselves in power: You can’t escape accountability from the voters. These justices will continue to stand up for working families and protect Pennsylvanians’ rights throughout their terms.

We’re proud to have supported Lieutenant Governor-elect Hashmi’s campaign, and flipping this seat gives Democrats a crucial lever of power in the state legislature! She’ll play a key role in stopping GOP obstruction and ensuring state Democrats can move their agenda forward.

Trump is ok with kids going hungry, but New Mexico Dems are not. The legislature just approved $30 million to help ensure SNAP recipients can access the food they need. State Democrats are the leaders we need right now.

Now is the time for us to think about what our future looks like. It’s state legislators who get to decide what our congressional districts look like, what our voting laws look like. Breaking the GOP supermajority in the MS Senate is the type of progress we need to make across the country.

The GOP’s ploy to gerrymander itself into power ahead of the 2026 midterms continues to intensify. Indiana just became the latest to join the ranks. As state Republicans’ attacks on voters expand, Dems must meet Republicans’ might and counter their actions to preserve democracy.

North Carolina Senate Republicans just advanced this gerrymandered congressional map, proving they will do anything to keep themselves in power and help Trump get his way – even if it means subverting democracy and undermining the will of the voters.

The GOP isn’t doing anything to help lower costs - not in DC, and not in Wisconsin, where their slim legislative majority is also teetering on the edge. Dems flipped 14 seats in Wisconsin last election because we finally have fair maps. Next year, we’re going to flip the majority.

The Mississippi GOP has supported Trump’s extreme agenda and failed to offer working families any solutions to improve their lives. These elections will give voters a chance to break the GOP supermajority and elect Dems who will actually work for them.

Voters have watched all year as Dem state legislators stepped up to fill the gaping holes left by Trump’s failures. They’re already heading to the polls ahead of November’s elections to hold Republicans accountable.
