I grew up watching The Ghost Busters on Saturday morning. Tracy the Gorilla was my favorite. Years later I got to meet good ol' Bob Burns the man inside that suit. I was over the moon.

I’ve been feeling pretty darn good about documentary filmmaking being safe from generative AI. Most people want realism vs. digital fakery in their non-fiction entertainment, right? Then I hear about Glenn Beck and his AI George Washington. Ugh! Or is Beck about to prove my point / hope?

On Monday we screened "Bob Gurr: Living By Design" for the good folks at Disney Animation. Today, Bob and I returned for a fun filled Q&A. Thanks to many but especially Howard Green, Tim O'Day and my fellow producers and crew.

I saw Werner Herzog speak last night about truth, cinema and other profound wisdom. It's the subject of his new book and definitely feeds his two upcoming films. The man simultaneously inspires and makes you feel lazy. I feel motivated.

It was a pleasure seeing 'Wake Up Dead Man" on the big screen with Rian Johnson himself.

You all know how much I love a good movie theater. The Lido Theater in Newport Beach is all around classy!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of dining with good ol' Bob Gurr to discuss life, the universe and everything. We even did it at his official booth at his favorite restaurant Joselito's Mexican Restaurant in Tujunga.

The name of my first production company was 8th Dimension Films. Fellow nerds over 40 should get the reference. We even had a logo which I recently found in a box beside a watermelon.
