Today I officially started editing my new short film. One has to wear many hats on a micro-budget indie production. At one point, I even worked the slate.

Over the last couple of days, the cast and crew of our new short film "The Living" have been busy with a little rehearsal and a photoshoot we needed before principal photography. As you can see from that large format camera, even the photo shoot held some old school fun for us.

Just watched the pilot episode of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. I enjoyed it, but... the show credits 24 PRODUCERS from EPs to Co-EPs to Consulting to Supervising to Associates, etc. Assuming they're all on payroll of some sort, this is the true bloat of the modern film & TV industry.

OMG! We actually shot on film today! Today marked the unofficial first day of filming for my new short film 'The Living'. Over the last couple of days we also had a cast table read and tech scout. Thank you to what is already a valiant cast & crew. Can't wait till the "official " first day!
