The rest of peaches were processed but I was short half a pound so I threw in some frozen figs. The recipe was not proofread , made 12 x 8 oz jar not the six it suggested. This jam has little crystalized ginger chunks and whiskey in it

Made peach berry cobbler before work, then peach cinnamon preserves after work and there's still a lotta peaches left but boy are my leggies tired

It's probably the stress of too many hobbies being stored in my ass, who knows.

Update from my pickleball post from 21 days ago I definitely fucked up my butt/back doing Lord knows what (probably from pickleball) and I'm IN MY FEELINGS about it. I'm doing All The Things to help it feels better and I think the final remedy is Tincture of Time. 👵🍑

2/2 It's giving me great cardio exercise and it doesn't hurt my arthritic knees. It's fun and social. Thank youuuuuuu pickleballll. (I'll try not to worry about my obsession ending as my roller skating lasted a couple years and salsa dancing I put in like 6 months).

I have been playing pickleball now for two solid months and I'm so proud of myself for giving it a shot and putting in the practice, my serves are more consistent and I'm hitting the ball/getting it over the net the majority of the time.

Meant to follow up on bread: I did a 6 hour re-proof in the fridge then 2 hours on counter which produced abt 90% rise of what I'd hoped... baked as usual and turned out fine! Served with homemade hummus and red pepper dip last night- fantastic

Needs abt 2-3 more hours of rise before divide/final fridge proof

I thought I was screwing up this 75% whole wheat levain bread recipe when all along I had merely neglected to read the sentence that says that it makes a smaller and denser loaf. I've been making it the way Ken Forkish intended all along. Redemption!
