An actual arsenal of secret weapons. Darius carries a lot of holdout weapons on his person since he can't use magic and has shallow aether reserves. So he uses a whole bag of tricks to take on stronger opponents by fighting dirty. If he's fighting to win, it's *never* gonna be a stand-up fight.

Darius and Yugiri was something I've entertained, but it just didn't sat right. Darius and Ilberd absolutely hating eachother is the strongest NPC relationship he's got. As for OC shipping, Darius and @sudekiffxiv.bsky.social 's Koyuki. Also, Samga and Sudeki. (Maybe Magnolia and Cyrus too)

Darius is very succinct, but doesn't shorten words or use acronyms. He probably also gives single emoji responses a lot a la "👍" Odette sends a lot of selfies and photos, even if you didn't ask. ESPECIALLY if you didn't ask. Samga leaves you on read.

Gotta say: I've seen that "I wish WOL would get hurt more" post many times this week, and every time I vividly recall the mid-Heavensward backlash over WOL getting hurt "too much." Especially the posts/vids/"discussions" about how WOL getting drugged was uniquely "unsafe" for marginalized players.

Darius would be the guy going in there like "None of this is real, it's dumb." But then a jump scare would happen and you'd wonder who's high-pitched shriek you just heard.

Darius speaks fairly properly, albeit informally. It's a bit of a running gag that people say they can tell he's from Garlemald because of his accent, and he has NO idea what they're talking about.

Enemies who don't have positionals should definitely have something to indicate where their back is. Cause HOO BOY is Arkveld kinda hard to gauge otherwise.

Darius was more well-rounded before he lost his right eye. Despite favoring melee, having gone for almost 20 years with one eye has made him pretty good at making up for the deficiency. Headcanoned the timeline so that Darius is 28 in ARR and 32 in Dawntrail. Which means Samga and Odette go from 16-20 and Kamui goes from 12-16

Darius, Odette, and Samga are all their own characters, but they also all carry different parts of me. Darius as kind of a cynical, but ultimately fairly principled person. Samga as someone who doesn't outwardly express her feelings. Odette being chuuni, attention-seeking, and theatrical.

Healers really need to get a set of achievement mounts and titles like the tank ones.

I try to stay lore-compliant. Though I do write things into gaps left in the story, like the IXth Legion. But anything that goes in has to be believable within the parameters of the setting.

Darius tries not to let it show. But if he's mad enough about something, it'll slip out- he gets kinda snippy, abrasive, and argumentative. Just generally irritable.

i like to roleplay with my friends, and by roleplay, i mean "occasionally message each other about interactions that our OCs could/would have, and sometimes we gpose them maybe, but usually we just talk about it in a 'yeah that would be cool/hot/funny' kind of way"
