This week in 1848 Chartist activists continued to meet daily to organise an insurrection in central London. On 9th August they met in the Lord Denman, a now demolished pub off the Blackfriars Rd. Those involved included the black leader of London Chartism William Cuffay wp.me/p15p2Q-eML

Yes - there’s a world of difference between data scooping software and so called ‘decision’ making systems. The problem is their binary nature. Why surrender 1m years of evolution of human decision making to machines without empathy, doubt, hesitation, remorse or collaboration - our finest facets?

I know I’m guilty of this too but we really need to start distinguishing between forms of AI (& stop calling the tech that at all maybe? It’s not a useful or accurate umbrella term?) b/c there are heaps of useful applications as well as the ecocidal trash-generating LLMs and “art” theft programmes.
