Breaking @SoundersFC news! Paul Rothrock has been officially resigned to a new contract through the 2028-29 season, with a club option for the 2029-30 season. Paul has 16 goals and 12 assists across 92 all-comp appearances for SSFC since joining the first team. Massive move to bring him back.

Breaking: @SoundersFC announce that they have transferred midfielder Danny Leyva to Liga MX side Club Necaxa. Terms of the transfer agreement are not being publicly disclosed. Leyva is coming off of a '25 season in which he recorded a career-high 6 assists in 26 all-comp games.

Sounders roster decisions are out. Yeimar Gómez Andrade, Osaze De Rosario, Kim Kee-hee, Kalani Kossa-Rienzi, Danny Musovski, Nouhou and Obed Vargas all had their options exercised.

San Diego beats Minnesota 1-0 with 1 shot on target. And the expansion side will host Vancouver in the West Final on Saturday. Winner faces the winner of Miami vs NYCFC in MLS Cup the following weekend.

I know the Whitecaps are our rival, but from this Sounders fan, they've always felt more like a little brother than a rival. For me, LAFC is second on the hate list, not behind Portland by much. So with that all said, I'm overjoyed Vancouver ousted LAFC last night. Big time win.

Missed sharing this a couple days ago while I've been sick. Major change coming to MLS. Obviously going to be jarring initially for northern city fans, but I think the schedule makers will do a good job and it won't be too bad for colder climates. I think it'll be a net positive.

FIFA has announced finalists for the annual Marta and Puskas awards, recognizing the best men's and women's goals of the year. Seattle has two entries of the 22 total. On the men's side, Pedro de la Vega against Cruz Azul on 7/31. On the women's side, Jordyn Bugg against North Carolina on 3/22.
