The weekend has us getting out of a winter feel by the end. It looks like a pretty nice weekend to get outside and start cleaning up the winter mess.

Severe weather is expected largely across southern Michigan with Thursday night's storms.

There is still a short period of intense thunderstorms likely this evening. The latest models let us zero in on where these thunderstorms will be the most severe.

It will still turn stormy late this afternoon and evening, but the bulk of severe thunderstorms should miss most of Michigan. There is still a small area of far southern Michigan that we will watch for severe thunderstorms.

While the risk of severe weather remains low, a few stronger embedded storms are possible. If severe weather does develop, wind would be the primary threat.
