Right now, our government is funding violence abroad while families in IL struggle to pay rent, see a doctor, or put food on the table. I condemn the genocide in Palestine, and I refuse to accept a future where war comes before community.

Today, we remember the lives lost 24 years ago on September 11, 2001. As we reflect today, may we recommit ourselves to building a country worthy of the sacrifices made. One that chooses peace over fear, hope over hate, and love over division. May we never forget.

No matter our politics, violence is never the answer. I'm keeping Charlie Kirk and his family in my thoughts, and praying we find the strength to reject hate and choose peace.

The Supreme Court gave racial profiling a green light in LA and opened the door nationwide. That's not justice, it's discrimination. We must protect our neighbors and demand a future where rights are not conditional on how you look or the language you speak. The fight for justice continues.

Yesterday I stood with my neighbors at the Peoria for Palestine. We came together to demand an end to the daily atrocities unfolding in Gaza and to affirm something simple but powerful: every life matters, and every individual, family and child deserves to live free from bombs and fear.
